ScoutsCymru (registered charity number 522572), as a data controller, takes the issue of privacy very seriously and we are committed to protecting and respecting our users' privacy.

Administrators of this booking system, having access to the data recorded, are aware of their data protection obligations through the Scout Association's adult training scheme.

This system processes personal information for the exempted purpose "for the purposes of establishing or maintaining membership of or support for the body or association, or providing or administering activities for individuals who are either members of the body or association or have regular contact with it"

Data is not disclosed to third parties except as required by law, regulation or court order, or where strictly necessary for the exempted purpose above.

Password security

User passwords are key to protecting data within the system. Password complexity requirements in line with OWASP best practice are enforced.

Passwords are combined with a one-time salt and passed through a one-way Blowfish encryption process before being stored in our database.
